Hi, I’m Anay Somvanshi. I’m a User Experience Researcher and Designer. I like to spend my time discovering problems and solving them to make life simple and enjoyable. I like to make meaningful connections with people and help bond information, technology, and people together.
I recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). I love to conceptualize and design products. I would love to publicly call myself a “Maker” and you would find me tinkering with DIY Arduino/Raspberry Pi projects in my spare time.
And as you are seeing this, I would like to connect with you. Shoot me an email anytime at anays [at] umich [dot] edu.
But hey, just don't take my word for it...
Anay Somvanshi is a stand out UX/UI designer. He brings a creative, thoughtful energy to his work that matches well with his deep passion for user research and a playful aesthetic.
Anay is a talented UX designer who knows how to bring the most out of others. He is comfortable in complexity is quick to ideate and test solutions. on a multidisciplinary team, Anay facilitates the participation of others, contributes an informed UX point of view, and when the team hits a problem-solving muddle, Anay is a leader and way finder. Anay is one of the most positive team players with whom I have had the pleasure of working.
Anay is not only a talented designer, but also a thoughtful systems thinker. During user research, he is able to identify the "signal in the noise" when synthesizing key insights from large amounts of interview data. He collaborates effectively with team members by communicating his ideas clearly through sketches. Finally, when working on prototypes, he is able to navigate from both the high-order architecture down to the specific design details of color, font, and shape.
